Why we made it

Local information should be easier to find.

SG1 has brilliant independent businesses, familiar high-street names, busy community groups and more going on than most people realise. The information is often scattered across websites, social posts and old directory entries. INSG1 is our attempt to bring it together and keep it useful.

We are local, so this is not a faceless national directory pretending to know Stevenage. We care whether the opening time is right, whether tonight’s event is actually tonight and whether someone can find a nearby tradesperson without wading through irrelevant results.

Businesses can keep their essential information accurate for free. Paid plans support the extra work behind offers, events, discovery tools and statistics, while clearly labelled local advertising helps us keep improving the guide.
