About these terms
These terms apply when you use insg1.com and its related pages and services. By using the site, you agree to follow them. If you submit content, claim a listing or buy a service, additional terms shown at that point may also apply.
INSG1 is an independent local directory and is not Stevenage Borough Council, Royal Mail or an official representative of the SG1 postcode area.
Directory and event information
We work to keep listings and events useful and current, but public information changes. Opening hours, prices, availability, accessibility, ratings and event details should be confirmed with the organiser or business before travelling or purchasing.
Inclusion is not an endorsement. Editorial recommendations are independent. Paid placements and sponsorships will be clearly labelled and will not alter review scores.
Your submissions
You must have the right to submit any text, images or other information you provide. Submissions must be accurate, lawful and must not infringe privacy, intellectual-property or other rights. Do not submit abusive, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory or malicious content.
Reviews require verification through a one-time link sent to the submitted email address. Email verification confirms access to that address; it does not prove that every statement in a review is correct. We may investigate, reject or remove reviews that breach these terms or appear fraudulent.
You retain ownership of your content but give INSG1 a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, edit for presentation, publish and promote it in connection with the service. We may moderate, decline, correct or remove submissions where reasonably necessary.
Claims, paid listings and sponsorship
Claiming a listing requires evidence that you are authorised to act for that business. Plans apply per business premises rather than per user account. A paid plan purchases the stated editing, presentation or promotional service for that premises; it does not buy favourable editorial coverage or prevent factual corrections.
We may verify a claim using a code sent to an address already held for the business or by reviewing proportionate ownership documents. False or misleading claims may be rejected or revoked.
Business owners are responsible for ensuring that offers, dates, eligibility conditions and social links are accurate and lawful. Plus permits one current or upcoming offer; Pro permits multiple offers subject to reasonable service limits. We may remove expired, misleading or unlawful promotions. Any Apple Wallet or Google Wallet version is a convenient copy of the published offer; the public listing and the business’s stated terms remain authoritative.
Prices, billing periods, renewal terms and cancellation rights will be shown before purchase. Those order details form part of the contract. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Acceptable use
You may browse and share ordinary links for personal or legitimate business use. You must not disrupt the service, bypass security, harvest personal information, submit automated spam, impersonate another person or extract substantial parts of the database without permission.
Intellectual property and links
The INSG1 branding, original editorial material, design and software are protected by applicable rights. Source data remains subject to its own licence. Links to external websites are provided for convenience; those sites control their own content and services.
Availability and liability
We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the site for maintenance, security or development. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
To the extent permitted by law, INSG1 is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on unconfirmed third-party listing information, external services, events or websites. We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. English law applies and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights.
